Kern River House’s four rental homes are exactly the type of rental we love: where guests can check-in and “check out,” never having (or wanting) to leave. We opted for the River Willow Cabin, perched above the Kern River on the very scenic Sierra Way.

Inside, interiors are a mix of all the right things, swapping the usual California desert Airbnb aesthetic in favor of cozier Adirondack vibes – with riverstone fireplaces, chunky colorful textiles and rugs, kitschy wallpaper, vintage magazines, and one-of-a-kind furnishings. Outside, each of the homes capitalize and underscore the best of the surrounding landscapes, with features like large stone patios, beachfront dining, outdoor showers and more.
